2. What is Human Growth Hormone?

Human Growth Hormone (HGH or hGH) is the most abundant hormone produced by the pituitary gland (pituitary is one of the endocrine glands). The pituitary gland is located in the center of the brain. HGH is also a very complex hormone. It is made up of 191 amino acids – making it fairly large for a hormone. In fact, it is the largest protein created by the Pituitary gland.

HGH secretion reaches its peak in the body during adolescence. This makes sense because HGH helps stimulate our body to grow. But, HGH secretion does not stop after adolescence. Our body continues to produce HGH usually in short bursts during deep sleep.

4. How to use？ 

Growth hormone is DNA recombinant human growth hormone, which has the same function as human growth hormone. It can promote the growth of bone, viscera, and the whole body, promote the synthesis of protein, affect the metabolism of fat and minerals, and play a key role in human growth and development. Subcutaneous injection of about 80% was absorbed, 5 hours to reach the peak of blood drug concentration, and the half-life of 4 hours. About 90% of the injection dose is metabolized in the liver. Only about 0.1% of the dose is excreted from the biliary tract and the kidneys.

Both subcutaneous and intramuscular injections have the same effect. Subcutaneous injections usually bring higher serum HGH concentrations than intramuscular injections but produce the same levels of IGF-1.

• Before administration, add 1ml of WFI to the rhGH vial of lyophilized powder, and make the solvent run slowly down the side of the vial. Swirl the vial with a gentle rotary motion until the contents are dissolved completely. Do not shake vigorously.
• The dose of administration should be individual for each patient. For growth-promotion purposes in children, the recommended dose is 0.1-0.15 IU/kg/day, once per day, with subcutaneous injection. The period of treatment is from 3 months to 3 years. Or follow your physician’s prescription.
• For severe burn patients, a daily dose of 0.2-0.4I U/kg subcutaneous injection is recommended. The period of treatment is about 2 weeks.
• The dose might require adjustment individually for human GH replacement therapy. Pls, follow your physician’s instructions.

5. Research course:

1. Scientists knew the existence of growth hormone as early as 1920, and began to use animal growth hormone, but later proved its inactivity to humans.

2. Growth hormone was successfully extracted from the human pituitary gland in 1957, but it was found to cause Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease and death, so the drug is no longer used.

3. In the late 1970s, recombinant DNA technology was used to obtain the human growth hormone gene, which was introduced into eukaryotic cells. These cells could produce a large amount of growth hormone after obtaining the information of hGH synthesis.

4.hGH produced by early genetic engineering has 192 amino acid residues. It has one more methionine at the N-terminal of the normal growth hormone molecule. It is effective in the treatment of growth hormone deficiency, but it is easy to produce antibodies and affect the curative effect.

5. By removing methionine, and purifying and applying the new recombinant DNA technology of mammalian cells, the purity of growth hormone has been greatly improved.
